Difference Between Stainless Steel And Brass Ball Valve

Stainless steel ball valve and brass ball valve are all belong to ball valve product. The difference between them is material, work performance and medium. They are all easy to be operate and repair. They have compact structure.

Brass valve is application to water, solvent, acid, gas and other general working media.  But stainless steel ball valve is used for media which with bad working conditions. Such as media contain sulfuric acid, oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane and ethylene. Generally speaking, the material of brass ball valve is brass. The stainless steel valve always adopts other material, such as 301,304,316 and so on.

Stainless steel ball valve is cheaper than brass ball valve in large caliber. Medium temperature range of copper ball valves is much higher than stainless steel ball valve. When the temperature is exceed 80℃, you must choose brass ball valve. Stainless steel valve can close tight by rotating 90 degrees and with little rotating torque. Complete equality of the body cavity provides little resistance and straight flow channel for medium. In general, ball valve is most appropriate for opening and closing directly. But recent years, ball valve design has become throttle and control flow.
